Runner bean - a design object
Inspired by nature
The runner bean, named Käferbohne, is a precious Styrian product with a long tradition. 92% of all Austrian runner beans grow in the mild climate of Southeastern Styria. Runner beans have a unique flavour and are really worth eating. A lot of carbohydrates and less fat make it a healthy alternative to meat.
Fascinated by the colours and patterns, Stefanie Schöffmann and Isabel Toccafondi designed a product range and an exhibition about this typical Styrian bean.
